What is your occupation? I work at Carolina One Real Estate on Long Point Road. I have been a realtor for more than 40 years, and I am fortunate that I have always enjoyed my job. I have known that if I ever got up one morning and did not want to go to work, I would find another career. I am still so happy with my career and enjoy my co-workers as well as the families I have met along the way. Do you have a favorite family tradition? From each of our birthdays, to the holidays, our family celebrates in a big way. Also, when all of us are available, we have “Monday night family night” supper at my house. That night is very casual, but it is a fun time to visit. I am more than blessed and grateful to have grandsons who allow me to share in their lives. MICHELLE TRAN Where do you live? I live in West Ashley and grew up in Viet Nam. Where do you work? I work at Creative Nails in Mount Pleasant. How do you balance family and work? Work life and family balance is a tricky process. There are not enough hours in the day, but life has to be lived. My work is important, and I do it so that I can enjoy my home life with my family. I do my best to plan ahead for the activities I have with my family away from work. What do you love about raising a family in Charleston? The best part of living and raising my family in Charleston is the location. It is a great place to live. People are very kind and respectful to each other. LASHONDA RAYBON Where do you live? I currently live on Johns Island. I grew up in Albany, Georgia. I left to become a Georgia Bulldog in Athens. After college, I moved to Atlanta. In 2019, I got married and made Charleston home. What is your occupation? I am a senior treasury management sales consultant for Wells Fargo. I’ve been in the banking industry for 25 years. Where do you like to go with your family in Charleston? My favorite place to visit with my family is Isle of Palms. There is nothing like spending a day admiring God’s beauty, listening to great music, reading a book, watching my daughter play in the sand, playing cards with my husband and snacking all day. What is your favorite weekend activity? My favorite weekend activity is hosting friends and family as they visit our beautiful city!
