The inaugural She Shines Awards, our way of recognizing the most outstanding female leaders in The Lowcountry, will open voting in May 2024. Pay close attention to our social media platforms (@ charlestonwomen) and website CharlestonWomen.com, for you chance to nominate and vote on shining women in business, art, wellness, philanthropy, home, style and food categories (with lots of subcategories). We want to recognize women-owned businesses, entrepreneurs and general do-gooders in our area for all to see. Winners will be announced and presented with official certificates at the end of 2024. They will reign as our queens in their respective categories for all of 2025. A party to celebrate winners and finalists will be planned for early 2025. For now, your job is to start thinking about all the women in your life — from homemakers to professionals of all kinds to just plain amazing women — you want to nominate.
