For the last three years, I have been playing softball at Barrier Islands Little League on Johns Island. I love playing softball because it is super fun and it also challenges me in new ways. Something I’ve really liked learning about is teamwork. I love how everyone works together. I have also learned about sportsmanship, how to be a good listener and to listen to what all my coaches teach me. I have made wonderful lifelong friends while playing softball and we all love to cheer loud for each other and to help those that are just learning to play. I have also learned that whether we win or lose, I will always do my best. When I grow up, I will carry these lessons with me. I think this will help me be a better friend, worker and strong person. I think kids my age should get to pick their favorite sport and give it their best effort. In conclusion, I think softball is an amazing sport and I can’t wait for the fall season to start so I can be back on the field with my teammates and friends.
