For Anja, the most rewarding part of her work is the relationships she’s built over the decades. “Many corporate clients have become private clients, and now we are organizing birthday parties, weddings and baby showers for their children,” she said. “That kind of connectivity can only be built with longevity and trust.” When she’s not in the office or at an onsite event, Anja enjoys traveling back to Germany and to the family farm in Ohio, spending time outdoors on the boat or with her two Boykin spaniels and competitive ballroom dancing. At home, she loves cooking German cuisine such as schnitzel with potatoes. Her next goal, she said, is to apply the valuable skills she grew up with to grow her own garden. The Stiefs, who recently celebrated their 27th anniversary, have passed their combined passions for growing and cooking high-quality food to the next generation: their son Kemp is attending university where he is studying agriculture business to carry on the lineage of farming. Their daughter Ella, who is finishing college in Charleston, is considering a career in the hospitality industry.
