I am the proud owner of two Elements Massage franchises in the Charleston area — one in West Ashley and the other in Summerville. In addition to our massage therapy services, we also offer skincare treatments and facials designed to promote relaxation, wellness and self-care. What draws you to mountain climbing? I have overcome numerous health challenges, demonstrating resilience, strength and support. I continually push myself mentally, physically and emotionally, having summited several notable peaks, including: Mont Blanc, the tallest Alps in Italy, Switzerland and France; Mount Kilimanjaro; and Mount Everest Base Camp this past October. Additionally, I’ve hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. This year, I plan to tackle the Dolomites in Italy. What are your goals for this next year? My primary goal is to strengthen my business by expanding our market reach, improving operational efficiency and delivering exceptional value to customers and staff. I also aim to maintain a healthy balance between business and personal life while setting new goals for myself. ANNA GRACE REBULA What’s your occupation? I am a licensed professional counselor. I provide counseling to individuals struggling with mental health issues like anxiety, trauma or grief. I have a private practice in the heart of Mount Pleasant. What’s your favorite part of your job? People are the most complex of puzzles, formed by genetics, childhoods, environments and both joyful and adverse experiences. I find so much gratitude and excitement in joining a client on their journey of self-exploration and working with them on healing the parts that need more love and grace. Every individual deserves mental and emotional wellness and is worthy of a life worth living. What’s your favorite part of Charleston? Charlestonians are happiest on the water! Whether I’m walking my dog on the shores of Sullivan’s Island or moseying the flats boat through the brackish marsh, the Lowcountry water reconnects us with the earth and invites our souls to take a slow, deep breath. CHELSEA SMITH What’s your occupation? I am the owner of Magnolia Mixers event bartending company. We offer bartending services for every type of event, from a backyard graduation party to a glamorous wedding. What do you love about the events you serve? I’m a local Charlestonian and have spent many years bartending and managing some of the Lowcountry’s most exciting locations. After learning that Charleston is one of the country’s most popular destinations for weddings, my self-employed journey began! The excitement my team and I feel from meeting new people and having the privilege to be part of their most special days make what we do the greatest job in the world. Where do you plan to expand? I have recently decided to become a full-service event company with ordained ministers, professional photographers, catering and much more. For all the specialty services that we are unable to provide, we have been working with vendors to ensure reliability for our recommendations. We Are Charleston Women BY BROOKE WATSON
