A 13-year career in banking — learning finance, loan and mortgage procedures — taught her a lot, but also left her wanting. Still having the passion to help people, she found herself at a crossroads. “I loved driving around and going to open houses. My husband and I had a heart-to-heart, and he asked me, ‘What do you want to do?’ Right then, I discovered I wanted to get into real estate,”she explained. So, Jefferson made the transition. Staying focused, by 2019, Jefferson got her real estate licenses for both South Carolina and Georgia. “Banking was a safety net. Once I received my real estate license, I never looked back. It’s been five years, and I’m going strong,” she shared. However, real estate isn’t Jefferson’s only passion. Having that entrepreneurial mindset for multiple income streams, she added wine consultant to her resumé. As a rep for One Hope out of Napa, California, she cannot only show you a new home but can also introduce you and guests to hosts of wine options. Ultimately, she’s living proof that businesswomen do not need to be onetrick ponies. She said, “I want to encourage women as an entrepreneur. It’s not easy, but it’s easy to give up.
