Like her name, there’s something unique about her. A rising senior at Wando High School, Alivia Allen isn’t simply baking cookies. She’s building a dream. While recovering from knee surgery, Allen found herself in an unexpected season of stillness. What could have been remembered as frustration instead became the beginning of A Little Taste of Heaven, her growing cookie business. To every circumstance in remarkable thing to understand. Rather than trying to become everything at once, Allen has focused on doing one thing well. She credits Wando High School culinary instructor and chef Molly Gordon for encouraging her gifts and helping her imagine a future where baking and business could go hand in hand. Her goal is to study both in college and one day grow A Little Taste of Heaven into something even larger. When I asked what she would do if this article suddenly brought hundreds of cookie orders, Allen laughed. “I’d probably put my whole family to work.” I smiled because that answer captured exactly who she is.
